About the "Wildcats"!

The Wildcats are a competitive cheerleading squad that competes in the Parks and Recreation Cheer and Dance City Championship here in Columbus and many of the Competitions in Ohio!

Founded by Rick Burchett in 2004, the idea behind the Wildcats is to allow kids of all ages to participate in competitive cheerleading without having to pay the high cost.  “I see so much talent out there and no where for it to go” Rick explains.  “I want these kids, boys and girls, to have a place to come and cheer without having to pay thousands like my wife and I did”.  The Wildcats are open to kids ages 6 to 18 years old (still attending high school).

I will, as long as I can, be here for the kids.  I love each of them as if they were my own.  Once I get too old, I hope to stay involved and keep the squad going.  Rick
